The EcoHut

We’d like to introduce The EcoHut, an economical alternative to our bespoke garden buildings range.  Suitable for use as a garden office, summerhouse or just about anything else you wish, the EcoHut is manufactured in modular panels and can be adjusted to suit your individual requirements.

The standard size EcoHut

Size – total floor area 3 m x 3m (including veranda).
Internal room size – 2.8m x 2.1m
Room height – at centre 2.4m, at the eaves 2.1

Materials – all EcoHut models are manufactured using FSC. timber from managed plantations that are locally sourced whenever possible.

Exterior surfaces – featheredge boarding placed over a vapour barrier  and breathable membrane.

Insulation – lambs wool

Internal finish – boarding, painted or natural

Windows and doors – the double French doors are 4mm toughened glass and the windows 4mm glass.  The two side windows have top opening sashes.

Roof – a choice of cedar shingles, sedum, green mineral felt (as in picture), felt tiles or dressed lead.

Base – Being a lightweight construction The EcoHut can sit on a cast concrete or paving slab base.  A dimensional drawing and construction guide can be provided.

Manufacture, delivery and installation - £3,850.00

Cost for paving slab base assuming a flat site - £415.00

All costs exclude VAT @ 17.5%

For this size of EcoHut neither planning permission nor building regulations are normally required.
